My day job:

I work a "day time gig" as a Neonatal ICU Nurse in the Quad Cities (Illinois and Iowa). I have been a nurse for 14 years and I have a heart for educating parents about premature/sick infants in our local Neonatal ICU. I have worked in several different areas of nursing {NICU, labor and delivery, Cancer Care and hospice} but babies have my heart forever. I graduated from Bradley University with my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree in 2012 {I know, I'm getting up there}.

My family:

I have three kiddos - 10, 8 and 3.5 years old. I'm married to the love of my life, Zach. He helps me out with almost all weddings - he's a fabulous second shooter and has even taken on videography in the past year! Zach has really taken on the role of chaos coordinator - he can reign in a wedding party like a boss. And I can't forget our fur baby, a 1 year old pointer/heeler that we adopted at 7 weeks old - Parker Rae. She's an absolute mama's girl and I'm also obsessed with her!

My photography journey:

I have always been passionate about capturing my own family's memories with photographs and when we had our third baby in 2022, I knew I wanted something different for my family. At the time, I was working full-time as a hospice RN case manager and struggling to balance work and life. So I dusted off my camera and started learning! I'm so grateful for those early customers that believed in me and trusted my very new process - most of them are still with me as faithful clients today!

In late 2025, I opened Deeply Rooted Studio in Galesburg, Illinois. I had a vision for local creatives to be able to use a clean, crisp space that has touches of warmth and cozy comfort for their clients to create memories.
